Athena was founded in 2019 with the goal of disrupting the home loan market and "freeing people from the mortgage handcuffs". Athena were confident in driving traffic to their site in a crowded market. But for help in getting those users to convert into applicants, Athena turned the financial calculator expert GBST Equate.
